Can a chiropractic adjustment make you taller?

Chiropractic adjustments are primarily focused on improving spinal health and function. While some people may experience temporary height gain after a chiropractic adjustment, it is not a permanent change and should not be the primary reason for seeking chiropractic care.

During a chiropractic adjustment, the chiropractor may manipulate the spine to correct misalignments, reduce tension, and promote better function. This can help alleviate back pain, improve posture, and reduce stress on the spine.

In some cases, a person’s height may temporarily increase after a chiropractic adjustment due to the release of tension in the spine. However, this height gain is typically minor and temporary, as it is due to the realignment of the spine rather than actual growth.

It is important to note that seeking chiropractic care solely for the purpose of gaining height is not a medically sound reason. Chiropractic care is a safe and effective treatment option for spinal health and function, and should be sought for that purpose. If you have concerns about your height, it is best to discuss them with a healthcare provider who can provide guidance and appropriate treatment options.
